Shane Beamer updates injury status for several South Carolina players
South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer provided updates for a handful of injured Gamecocks on Thursday.
Shane Beamer is on Carolina Calls:
– Said they’re hoping Cason Henry will be able to start jogging next week
– AB, JT Geer and Tyreek Johnson practiced today. Won’t be 100% Saturday, but will be available to play.

Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Cason Henry was injured in the team’s season-opening loss to North Carolina and appears to be a couple of weeks away from returning. His absence hurts an offensive line that has struggled thus far, as Henry was expected to take a step forward as a starter this season.
Senior wide receiver Ahmarean Brown (AB) went down with a leg injury against Furman in Week Two and also suffered a rib injury against UNC.
Redshirt senior defensive end Tyreek Johnson did not travel with the team to Athens but also did not appear on the injury report that week. Lastly, redshirt sophomore defensive end Jatius (JT) Geer did not play against Georgia and would be making his South Carolina debut if he plays against Mississippi State after transferring from Syracuse this offseason.
Beamer’s bunch will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 ET on the SEC Network this Saturday.
