Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks held a practice on Monday ahead of the Gator Bowl against Notre Dame, and the coach revealed that Josh Vann didn’t travel with the team and won’t play in the bowl game.

“Vann is not here right now,” Beamer said, per Ben Portnoy of The State. “He won’t play this week.”

Jalen Brooks is also “doubtful” as he deals with an off-the-field issue, although he practiced on Monday.

Vann suffered a knee injury in the Clemson game. He was third on the team in receiving yards (296), and second in touchdowns with 3. Last year, the former 4-star recruit led the team last year in receptions (43) and receiving yards (679), with 5 scores. He walked on Senior Day the last 2 seasons.

The Gator Bowl is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on Friday between the 8-4 teams.
