South Carolina adds commitment from a Georgia 4-star wide receiver
South Carolina football added its third receiver and 18th overall prospect to the 2020 recruiting class in 4-star Rico Powers of Savannah, Georgia (Hapeville Charter).
When he tweeted his commitment announced, he added this: “I wanna thank everybody who has been with me thru this journey.. it’s been a long process and I’m so grateful to be in this situation.”
Powers’ addition means South Carolina is ranked No. 7 in the SEC, according to 247Sports and No. 19 nationally for the 2020 class. Powers is 6-foot-2 and 181 pounds. He’s ranked the No. 56 wide receiver prospect in America, and the No. 31 player in Georgia.
Powers is the highest ranked of the four Georgia prospects that South Carolina has landed commitments from so far.
Powers reportedly has 17 offers, including SEC teams like Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee.
