South Carolina announces special kickoff time for Garnet and Black spring scrimmage

South Carolina exceeded expectations in Shane Beamer’s first year at the helm of the program in 2021, finishing with a 7-6 record.
Now, the pressure is on to keep that positive momentum going in 2022. Fortunately for Beamer and the Gamecocks, they bring in former Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler and some other impact players to help them reach those goals.
On Thursday, the Gamecocks revealed that our first look at Rattler and the 2022 squad would come under the lights. The annual Garnet & Black spring scrimmage will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 16:

That’s a pretty late kickoff for a spring game, but it comes as part of a full day of events, starting with the baseball team’s 1 p.m. first pitch against Ole Miss.
