South Carolina backup QB enters NCAA transfer portal
The South Carolina Gamecocks have a number of impressive quarterbacks on their roster, with another one committed to the 2020 class.
From Jake Bentley to Ryan Hilinski to Dakereon Joyner, the Gamecocks have plenty of talent at the position.
However, on Tuesday, they lost some of their depth, as walk-on redshirt sophomore QB Darius Douglas was confirmed to have entered the NCAA transfer portal:

Douglas was unranked by major recruiting services coming out of high school in 2017 and redshirted for the Gamecocks that year. This past season, he served primarily as a scout team quarterback.
Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but he may decide to head to a lower level to get more playing time.
