South Carolina just made a big addition on the recruiting trail.
The Gamecocks earned a commitment from 4-star receiver Jordon Gidron. He chose South Carolina over programs such as Auburn, Florida State and North Carolina, to name a few.

Gidron is a huge pickup for South Carolina in the class of 2025. He’s the No. 184 overall player and the No. 20 wide receiver in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from the state of South Carolina.
Gidron attends Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds.
Gidron visited South Carolina’s campus earlier this season. He made trips to Auburn, North Carolina, Florida State and Duke prior to making this choice. Gidron also attended camps at Alabama and Georgia earlier this summer, per 247Sports.
South Carolina is building what appears to be a very strong recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. Gidron is the 20th prospect to join South Carolina’s class so far. The group sits at No. 29 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
