South Carolina went into Athens on Saturday and pulled off a thrilling double-overtime victory against the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs.
A big part of the Gamecocks’ success was CB Israel Mukuamu, who picked off Jake Fromm three times on Saturday afternoon.
Thanks to that incredible effort, Mukuamu was named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week, per CFB insider Brett McMurphy:

The entire Gamecock defense deserves credit, as they made life miserable for the Georgia offense all game long.
Mukuamu has now officially broken out, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can continue to improve as the season goes on.
