South Carolina continues to re-tool its roster, and this time, the Gamecocks enhanced their offensive line with a transfer commitment from Oklahoma.

Aaryn “AJ” Parks played in 8 games over 4 years with the Sooners since 2020, including 3 games this season and 5 games last year in a backup role at tackle. Parks is from Seat Pleasant, Maryland and listed at 6-foot-4 and 301 pounds. He will have 2 years of eligibility left. Parks is the 6th commitment for the Gamecocks in the last week.

Parks joins NC Central’s Torricelli Simpkins as the second offensive lineman to join the Gamecocks through the portal. The Gamecocks also signed 3 high school recruits, all in-state prospects, in Dillon’s Josiah Thompson, Woodland’s Kam Pringle and Greenville’s Blake Franks.

Parks was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school, and had offers from the likes of Georgia, Alabama, Pittsburgh and Penn State.
