We finally have a decision from Columbia as the first Garnet & Black spring game of the Shane Beamer era has been moved to Sunday due to weather.

South Carolina’s upcoming spring game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday. The game will still be played in Williams-Brice Stadium and is set to begin at 2 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on SEC Network Plus.

According to South Carolina, Saturday’s forecast is calling for a high percentage of rain and thunderstorms for most of the day.

“With the weather forecast looking rough for Saturday, we thought a spring game on Sunday with dry, clear weather would give our fans a better game day experience,” Shane Beamer said in a released statement. “Our players and coaches look forward to seeing a great crowd Sunday in Williams-Brice Stadium.”

Williams-Brice Stadium’s capacity for the spring game was recently bumped up to 15,000.
