The Winston Salem, N.C. product was a member of the Demon Deacons program for 5 seasons as he signed out of the class of 2017. After redshirting in 2017, he recorded 1,871 yards and 21 touchdowns during his career. In 2021, he scored 9 touchdowns while adding 131 carries and 604 yards, a year after rushing for 732 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2020.

It has already been a busy day for Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks staff. FCS wide receiver Antwane Wells on Monday announced that he would head to South Carolina after a terrific 2021 campaign at James Madison. That came after Central Michigan defensive back Devonni Reed announced his own transfer to the Gamecocks.
