South Carolina shocked the college football world last week with an upset win at No. 3 Georgia. Now the Gamecocks are looking for more with No. 7 Florida coming to town.

South Carolina has never beaten top 10 teams in back-to-back weeks, but it has the chance to do that with a win over No. 9 Florida on Saturday.

“I’m already ready for Florida. I love the feeling of winning a big game, I want that feeling again,” LB Ernest Jones said. “Ready for the Florida game. It’s going to be exciting, back home, 12:00, it’s going to be a real good one.”

Jones leads the Gamecocks with 50 tackles, and tied for a season high with 12 tackles against Georgia.

Jones said one of the keys for the defense’s improvement in the last few weeks has been the play of the defensive line.

“Those guys, they’re monsters, they’ve been playing their butts off the last few weeks,” Jones said. “It’s been good to see. They’ve been setting up a lot of plays for me, making my job a lot easier. I thank those guys, every time I make a play, it’s because of them because they’re doing their job. They’re causing so much attention to themselves. It’s hard to stop those guys up front, and then it makes it easier for me.”
