South Carolina loses commitment from 2017 running back prospect
Will Muschamp’s 2017 recruiting class took another big hit on Saturday morning, when three-star RB Kyshaun Bryan announced he was de-committing from the university.
Bryan tweeted about his decision, thanking the Gamecocks for the opportunity, but said it wasn’t right for him:

Bryan, a Florida native, is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound back — a prototypical body type for a runner. The loss will hurt Muschamp’s class, unless the second-year Gamecocks coach can find a way to convince him to come back.
According to 247Sports, Bryan is the No. 34 running back in the class of 2017 and the No. 82 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
Bryan’s de-commitment is the latest in a string of important losses for the Gamecocks. As noted here, Muschamp has some work to do to keep his first full recruiting class from completely falling apart ahead of National Signing Day.
Since South Carolina has a loaded roster of RBs and they stopped recruiting this kid several months ago, this comes as no surprise to anyone, except maybe the author
I wish this kid the best. I agree, the author must not have been paying much attention lately. I have read for the last two months that we cooled and the kid said contact was falling off. With Dowdle, Turner, and transfer Ty’son Williams all have 3 years of eligibility, I have read staff wanting to use the scholarship elsewhere. This feees up some room for 2018 RBs they are after and makes the depth chart more appealing for them. We won’t take a RB this class unless it is a preferred walk-on.
Sounds to me he is trying to blow the whistle on Muschamp about offering 💰
Muschamp offering money is hilarious. They are offering him a grey shirt. The staff wants to use his scholarship elsewhere since they have 5 RBs with 3+ years of eligibility and a transfer from Wisconsin with 2 years left. Why in the world would they need to throw money at a 3 star to commit to a program littered with talent at his position?
That’s cute coming from the fan base of a team that is having an unusually good year of recruiting despite losing to TN, Vandy, and instate rival GA Tech, kind of make you wonder. 🤔💰💰💰
really? UGA has always been a recruiting monster. Why is it unusual for Kirby to keep top instate kids in state? whats unusual is for two of those instate kids thinking about USCjr over UGA
WOW ! I guess five minutes worth of research was to much work for this article. Maybe one that said, South Carolina was no longer interested, just wasn’t as catchy.
how did ya’ll lose to such a “crappy” team at home by two TDs?
Vandy.
