After backing off his pledge to an SEC West program, Lowndes High School (Valdosta, Georgia) standout Thomas Davis could be committing to an SEC East program next month.

The Peach State product recently named a top three of South Carolina, Florida State and Miami. Davis committed to Mississippi State on April 18, 2020 but backed off that pledge less than two months later (June 8). He has 14 total scholarship offers, with Arkansas, Cincinnati and Indiana among the teams outside his top 3. Davis is set to announce his commitment on Aug. 24, per his 247Sports profile.
