South Carolina could be losing some depth on the offensive line for next season.

According to John Whittle of The Big Spur, Gamecocks redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Jordon Carty has entered the NCAA transfer portal. That means opposing coaches can now contact him about potentially transferring to their program.

Carty did not play in any games for South Carolina this season. He also didn’t see any action last year, which came after he redshirted his first season with the Gamecocks.

A 3-star recruit out of Florida, Carty was the No. 79 offensive tackle in the 2017 class, according to the 247sports Composite rankings.

As a former solid recruit who is listed at 6-foot-7, 310 pounds, Carty will likely draw interest from some other schools.
