South Carolina RB commit lands No. 1 spot on SportsCenter Top 10 after hurdle, 69-yard TD
South Carolina running back commit MarShawn Lloyd (Hyattsville, Md.) went viral during Friday night’s game.
Lloyd, the 4-star running back, committed to the Gamecocks on May 27, 2019, and he’s ranked as the nation’s No. 8 overall running back and the state of Maryland’s No. 3 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The talented running back posted three total touchdowns Friday night in a huge rivalry game win. One of Lloyd’s touchdown runs caught the eye of SportsCenter, as he hurdled his way en route to a 69-yard touchdown run. In fact, he was named No. 1 on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
You can bet that’s a talking point inside South Carolina’s coaches’ locker room.

The 5-9, 206-pound back compares favorably to former Miami back Frank Gore. His compact build and low center of gravity will make him an instant impact player for the Gamecocks, assuming he sticks with his commitment on National Signing Day.
