After a slow start to the 2020 season, South Carolina is starting to gain momentum. The Gamecocks opened with losses to Tennessee and Florida, but they’ve notched wins over Vanderbilt and Auburn the past two weeks.

Now, they’re looking to keep it going this weekend against the defending national champions.

South Carolina is set to travel to LSU for a Saturday night matchup at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers have gotten off to a tough start, going 1-2 with losses to Mississippi State and Missouri, so this could be an opportunity for the Gamecocks to keep their winning streak going.

However, South Carolina doesn’t have much past success against LSU. The Tigers lead the all-time series, 18-2-1, and have won the past six meetings between the two teams. The Gamecocks’ last victory in the series came in 1994 (which was followed by a tie in 1995).

On Thursday, South Carolina unveiled its uniform combination for Saturday’s game. The Gamecocks will be wearing white helmets, black jerseys and white pants for the road matchup:

South Carolina and LSU are set to kick off on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
