South Carolina scores most first-half points ever against Charleston Southern
The South Carolina Gamecocks are off to a fast start in the Ryan Hilinski era.
Yes, it’s only against FCS Charleston Southern, but the Gamecocks put up a school record for points in the first half, leading CSU 44-3 at halftime.

The true freshman quarterback is having a great day so far, going 22-for-27 for 259 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first half of collegiate action. The ground game is also looking good behind RB Rico Dowdle:

Rico Dowdle: 10-87, two touchdowns.
Bryan Edwards: 5-112, two touchdowns.
Dakereon Joyner: 3-47, one touchdown; one catch for 12 yards.

Again, it’s against Charleston Southern, but South Carolina fans should be happy with this performance. Next weekend, Alabama comes to town, so we’ll see what happens moving forward.
