South Carolina sees defensive back enter the transfer portal, per report
No, the transfer portal madness continues and it will not stop. It is affecting every program in the country as players look elsewhere for better opportunity.
The latest SEC team to get hit is South Carolina. Defensive back Tyrese Ross has entered his name into the portal, according to a report from On3 Sports.
Wherever Ross chooses to go next will be the third that he has been on. He previously transferred from Washington State in the summer of 2021 ahead of Shane Beamer’s first season with the Gamecocks. While with the program, he appeared in 13 games, mainly on special teams and recorded 9 total tackles.
Ross hails from the class of 2018 and was a 3-star prospect out of Atlanta while being the No. 95 safety in the class. His decision to transfer marks the third member of the South Carolina secondary entering the portal.
