At 2-4 and with games against Clemson, Tennessee and Florida still on the schedule, a bowl game isn’t looking likely for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Even if the Gamecocks take care of business against UMass, East Carolina and Mizzou, they’ll have to upset one of the three above schools to finish with six wins.

However, that won’t stop the team from working hard to play in December.

According to The State, first-year coach Will Muschamp wants to give the senior class a bowl game experience this season:

“I talk to these guys all the time,” Muschamp said. “Our seniors want to go to a bowl game. That’s very important for our program, and the most important thing is for our seniors.”

Senior LB Darius English said he and the other seniors have made it a goal to finish the year with at least six wins:

“We definitely talk about it every day, and especially the seniors,” English said. “This is our last go-round, so we definitely want to make it to a bowl game. That’s definitely a goal of ours.”

SBNation’s Bill Connelly gives the Gamecocks a six percent chance to reach six wins this season.
