A South Carolina wide receiver is reportedly hitting the transfer portal.

Sophomore O’Mega Blake is expected to enter the transfer portal, GamecockCentral reported Friday morning.

Blake has been with the Gamecocks since 2021, redshirting his freshman year before getting just a handful of snaps in 2022. He saw his snaps increase in 2023 as he became an integral part of South Carolina’s offense.

In the spring, he won South Carolina’s Co-Offense Most Improved Award, a testament to the jump he made over the offseason.

Blake recorded 19 receptions for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Now, he is likely looking to land on a team where he can have a bigger role on offense.

Coming out of high school, Blake was a 3-star recruit out of Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was the No. 109 receiver nationally and the No. 9 player in South Carolina. He held offers from Appalachian State, Akron and others, but South Carolina was his only Power 5 offer.
