Spencer Rattler was expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft ahead of the 2021 college football season, which saw him fall from grace as he was unable to even hang on to the starting gig with the Oklahoma Sooners.
Rattler ultimately made the decision to transfer and join head coach Shane Beamer with the South Carolina Gamecocks, and while there have been plenty of ups and downs, there have been some major highlights. Saturday’s 63-38 win over the Tennessee Volunteers was one of those.
Rattler completed 30-of-37 passes for 438 yards with 6 touchdowns on an interception-free outing.
On throws beyond the sticks, Rattler posted a 94.2 Pro Football Focus grade, completing 9-of-14 passes for 242 yards with 2 touchdowns.

So far this season, Rattler has completed 66.9% of his passes for 2,420 yards with 14 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He’ll look to continue his recent success as the Gamecocks end the regular season with a matchup against the No. 9-ranked Clemson Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. CT.
