Spencer Rattler is about to embark upon his first spring camp as a South Carolina Gamecock.

Rattler was the Heisman Trophy frontrunner entering the 2021 season; however, after some struggles, he was benched and replaced by freshman Caleb Williams. Both Rattler and Williams transferred out of OU, as Williams landed at USC with Lincoln Riley.

Now, Rattler will lead the Gamecocks offense, and this spring will be crucial with Rattler at the helm.

The Gamecocks quarterback released a hype video on Saturday ahead of spring practice.

It should be noted that “917” is the area code of New York City — the location of the Heisman Trophy ceremony. So, Rattler has some specific goals for the 2022 season.

In 2 seasons at Oklahoma, Rattler threw for 4,595 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 INTs.
