There have been a bunch of SEC players entering the NCAA transfer portal in recent days, but none had come from South Carolina.
That changed on Tuesday afternoon, when it was reported that guard Trae Hannibal had entered the transfer portal.
Hannibal, a member of the Gamecocks’ 2019 recruiting class out of Hartsville, South Carolina, played in 20 games during the 2020-21 season:

In those 20 games, Hannibal didn’t make any starts, but averaged 16.6 minutes per game. He averaged 6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal per contest.
Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but his time in Columbia is seemingly coming to an end.
