The Ol’ Ball Coach isn’t one to mince words…nor is he short on opinion.

Former college head coach Steve Spurrier was asked about his time last year at South Carolina. The Gamecocks had troubles on both sides of the ball during the end of Spurrier’s tenure.

Without blinking, Spurrier calls out his former defensive coordinators Lorenzo Ward and Jon Hoke for the Gamecocks’ inability to “coach defense.” He then went on to praise new head coach Will Muschamp and the current regime in Columbia.

Based upon these comments, it probably would be a surprise for Spurrier to receive Christmas cards from Ward and Hoke this year.
