Chris Ivory now has something in common with Vincent Smith.

The Buffalo Bills running back was caught by his hair by Jadeveon Clowney of the Houston Texans on a tackle for a loss as Ivory landed directly on his back. It was painful to most viewers who saw it unfold on TV.

It was reminiscent, though not as helmet-rattling as Clowney’s hit on Smith when he played for South Carolina and the Gamecocks met Michigan in the Outback Bowl in early 2013.

Ivory had six carries for five yards on Sunday in a backup role for the Bills.

Clowney helped the Texans to a 20-13 win.
