South Carolina was able to finish the season on a high note with a win over Michigan in the Outback Bowl.

The win gives the Gamecocks nine wins in a season for the first time since 2013. QB Jake Bentley, RB Rico Dowdle, and WR Bryan Edwards each played a big role in the win over Michigan and should provide a solid core group for Will Muschamp to build on moving forward.

In his locker room address to the team following the bowl win, Muschamp took time to point out the seniors and thanked them for their time with the program. He also pointed to the future of the program and warned the underclassmen that it would be “all gas, no brake” when they return to campus in January.

At the end of his speech, Muschamp let TE Hayden Hurst break the team down one last time before leaving for the NFL.
