What Will Muschamp said after blowout victory at Vanderbilt
South Carolina snapped its five-game losing streak and got a lot of momentum built, at least in the running game, as the Gamecocks toppled Vanderbilt 41-7.
South Carolina improved to 1-2 on the season thanks to a big game from RB Kevin Harris, who had 171 rushing yards, including an 88-yard score, his second of the game. South Carolina, meanwhile, held Vanderbilt to 76 rushing yards.
“It was a heck of a day running the football no matter who you’re playing against,” Muschamp said.
South Carolina returns to action against Auburn next week.

Muschamp: Said at end of half he wanted to take a shot deep but three of his players were mouthing off to Vanderbilt players, and vice-versa, and they had no time outs and time ran out, that was addressed at halftime and will be addressed Sunday. #Gamecocks

Muschamp: Thought they found some ways to run the football, stayed on the field with conversions, right after 50%, good to put the game away with the long Harris touchdown. #Gamecocks
