As South Carolina QB Jake Bentley prepares for his sophomore season this fall, he’ll get a chance to learn from legendary quarterbacks Archie, Eli and Peyton Manning, among others.

That’s because the Gamecocks’ signal caller was invited to be a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy, which will be held at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, this summer.

According to The State, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and his son Jackson will also attend the camp, which is for high-school players but is staffed by some of the top college quarterbacks from across the country:

“Archie (Manning) called me, and Archie and I have gotten to be very good friends,” Muschamp said Thursday at a Spurs Up Tour stop in Greenwood. “I wanted Jake to be at the camp. Certainly excited for Jake, because it’s a great honor to be out with Peyton and Eli and the Manning family. My son Jackson will be there too, so I’m looking forward to spending some time with Jake in Louisiana.”

In limited action during his freshman year, Bentley has already proven he has what it takes to be a star.

With some guidance from the Mannings, the sky is the limit for the talented sophomore as he tries to lead the Gamecocks to an SEC East title this fall.
