One of the new rule changes in college football this year is that coaches entering the field of play to argue with a referee will now be assessed a penalty.

With so many, shall we say, “passionate” coaches in the SEC, it’s safe to say someone will be flagged for the new penalty at some point this fall.

Fiery South Carolina coach Will Muschamp was asked how he plans to abide by those new rules during an appearance on the SEC Network at SEC Media Days on Thursday and responded with a light-hearted joke:

“We’ve assigned two guys to hold me back and one is allowed to tackle,” he joked in the video.

All joking aside, whoever’s job it is to keep Muschamp off the field this fall will have their work cut out for them.
