Saturday’s outcome between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Georgia Bulldogs was anything but ideal for the former team, which was nearly shut out, losing the game 48-7.

This wasn’t an easy loss for the Gamecocks. But it’s clear that coach Will Muschamp still has the support of those around him, including the South Carolina players and staffers who made an effort to seek him out after the game and show their backing of him despite how badly outreached and outplayed they were.

South Carolina will look to get back on the right track as it faces Charlotte, which should be a good “get right game” for the program after suffering such a landslide loss against in-conference competition. The Gamecocks will have a chance to make further tweaks against South Carolina State in the following game before returning to conference play against Kentucky on Oct. 8.
