Will Muschamp might be a Georgia assistant coach now after being fired by South Carolina last season, but his mark on the Gamecocks program is still very evident.

Many of the players on the current roster were recruited and signed by Muschamp and his staff, and it’s clear there’s still a lot of love for the former coach from those guys.

As you can see below, after Georgia’s big 40-13 win over the Gamecocks on Saturday night, Muschamp took the time to hug a bunch of his former players:

Muschamp is filling in for special teams coordinator Scott Cochran while Cochran is indefinitely away from the team.

We’ll see if he lands a more permanent role in Athens in the future, or if he gets another crack at a head coaching job soon.
