Will Muschamp updates injuries, offers early comments about rivalry with Clemson
With a 49-9 win over Chattanooga, South Carolina became bowl-eligible as coach Will Muschamp became the first coach in school history to take his first three teams to bowl games.
And with three games left, Muschamp tied Spurrier’s school record for wins in his first three years (21).
South Carolina has a long list of injured players, but several sat out the Chattanooga game in order to be ready for Clemson, which has won four straight against South Carolina.
In his initial comments to reporters, Muschamp explained what the Gamecocks must do in the rivalry:
Will Muschamp: Jaycee Horn has a lateral ankle sprain. He could have forced it and come back in, but there was no need. They think he'll be fine for the next game.
