ACC action for Week 12 is complete.
It was another week full of strong performances from players all across the ACC. Here’s a game ball for every ACC team who played in Week 12:
Boston College: Kye Robichaux, RB
Boston College made SMU work for it, but ultimately couldn’t come away with the win. Kye Robichaux did his part, though, rushing for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns against a solid SMU defense.
Cal: Jadyn Ott, RB
Tough loss for Cal on Saturday, but Jadyn Ott still did his thing. He averaged over 7 yards per carry, finishing the day with 78 yards and 1 touchdown.
Clemson: Antonio Williams, WR
Hats off to Antonio Williams, who had a massive day in Clemson’s narrow win over Pitt. He went for 149 yards against the Panthers and caught both of Cade Klubnik’s touchdown passes. Clemson’s postseason hopes would be dashed if not for this performance from Williams.
Louisville: Chris Bell, WR
Losing to Stanford shouldn’t earn anyone a game ball. But Chris Bell did catch 9 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown, so he gets the nod. Ja’Corey Brooks also went over the century mark in receiving yardage.
North Carolina: Omarion Hampton, RB
Goodness gracious, Omarion Hampton. Another incredible day for him as he rushed for 244 yards and a touchdown in a 31-24 win over Wake Forest. After all they’ve been through this season, the Tar Heels are bowl eligible. Hampton might be the biggest reason why.
Pittsburgh: Desmond Reid, RB
With apologies to Nate Yarnell, Desmond Reid gets the game ball for this one. He led Pitt in both rushing (68 yards) and receiving (108 yards) in the close loss to Clemson.
SMU: Brashard Smith, RB
What a day for Brashard Smith. He rushed for 120 yards and 1 touchdown on 18 carries in a big win over Boston College. He also caught 4 passes out of the backfield. The former Miami playmaker has been excellent this season for the Mustangs.
Stanford: Ashton Daniels, QB
Ashton Daniels played his best game of the season in a big win over Louisville. He threw for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns as Stanford earned a top-25 ACC win.
Syracuse: Oronde Gadsden II, TE
Syracuse’s offense was humming, per usual, against Cal. Oronde Gadsden is still the best player on a really strong Orange offense. He caught 8 passes for 109 yards on Saturday night in a 33-25 win over the Golden Bears. He didn’t score in this game, but he did account for more than one-third of Kyle McCord’s passing yards by himself.
Virginia: Malachi Fields, WR
Malachi Fields was one of the lone standouts for Virginia on the day. He caught 4 passes for 82 yards in a blowout loss to Notre Dame.
Wake Forest: Demond Claiborne, RB
Demond Claiborne showed out in a tough loss in Chapel Hill. He rushed for 95 yards and a couple of scores while also catching 3 passes for 28 yards out of the backfield. He’s been a bright spot in an otherwise forgettable season for the Demon Deacons.
