Saints-Falcons Betting Preview

After Jayden Daniels and LSU concluded their season on Saturday, Louisiana sports fans can switch gears to Derek Carr and the Saints on Sunday. The Saints are 5-5, good enough for first place in the NFC South. However, the 4-6 Falcons could join them atop the division with a win.

As I mentioned earlier, New Orleans opened as a slight underdog. Carr’s concussion from the team’s Week 10 loss against the Vikings was a big reason for the confusing spread. But after the bye week, the Saints moved Carr off the injury report and cleared him to play. As a result, the line shifted three points in New Orleans’ favor, where it currently sits at -2.

Carr will start today, but I’d be all over the Saints even if he weren’t. New Orleans’ defense has forced 12 interceptions, tied for the second most in football, and 18 total takeaways. The D shouldn’t have trouble against Desmond Ridder, who’s starting at QB again after initially losing the job to Taylor Heinicke. Ridder has ten combined touchdowns and eight turnovers in nine games, including six interceptions.
