Cam Skattebo is absolutely torching Iowa State’s defense to start the Big 12 Championship game.
The Arizona State RB is already nearing 100 yards rushing and just reclaimed the lead for his team by leading an 85-yard touchdown drive.
It started with his run below. Skattebo bounced off like 4 defenders for a 47-yard rumble – which set himself up for an easy touchdown rush soon after:

So far Saturday Skattebo has rushed for 85 yards on 7 carries – an average of 12.1 yards per rush and just over 20 yards more than Iowa State has amassed as a team.
For those who have watched the Sun Devils this year, you’d know this is nothing new. Skattebo has been one of the most underrated rushers in the game this season.
The senior from Rio Linda, California entered this game with 247 carries for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns. He’s also an effective receiver, sitting at 35 receptions for 468 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The above score was his 20th touchdown of the year – he’s averaging just under 2 trips to the end zone per game.
The Big 12 Championship game has been a barnburner so far. Both offenses showed up to win a title and stamp a ticket to the College Football Playoff. With just over 5 minutes remaining in the first half, Arizona State leads 17-10.
