College football fans rejoice after No. 15 UCF loses to Pitt
No. 15 UCF gained a lot of credit for a big win over Stanford in Week 3. And that resume “street cred” is now gone. It turns out UCF doesn’t fare so well playing Power 5 teams more often than just once in a while. Pittsburgh pulled off a 35-34 upset over the Knights on Saturday.
Simply put, College Football Playoff teams don’t lose to 1-2 Pitt. UCF is out of the conversation.

CFB Twitter is predictably going wild. Here’s a small sample of what people are saying:

There are soon-to-be 2-year-olds who don’t know what it’s like to have UCF as national football champions.

Best thing to come out of today is we don’t have to discuss UCF seriously the rest of the year
— Ivan Corriher (@IWCorriher) September 21, 2019
I don’t want to see UCF in the Top 25 for the rest of the year

Rest in f’ing pieces UCF. Couldn’t happen to a nicer team, bandwagon fanbase, smug ass athletic director, and participation trophies.
