College football player shot at off-campus party Saturday
Washington State lost at Utah on Saturday afternoon, but the Cougars’ thoughts were back home in Pullman with one of their teammates.
Per Pullman police, WR Brandon Gray was shot on Saturday morning at a house party off campus.
Per ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, another victim — Liban Barre — died at the hospital of his injuries:
WSU WR Brandon Gray was shot at an off-campus house party early Saturday morning, according to Pullman PD. He was flown to a Spokane hospital and is in "serious but stable" condition. He was one of two victims. The other, Liban Barre, died at Pullman Regional Hospital.

Per the report, Gray is in “serious but stable” condition after he was flown to a hospital in nearby Spokane.
Gray is a redshirt junior receiver on the Cougars’ roster. He didn’t appear in a game in 2020 and had 2 catches for 13 yards in 2019. Hopefully, he’s able to make a full recovery.
