Colorado versus Oklahoma State wasn’t all that competitive on Friday in what was the regular-season finale for both teams.
And to add insult to injury for the Cowboys – who seemed destined to fall to 3-9 on the season after trailing the Buffaloes by 52 points early in the fourth quarter – one of their former players stunted on them after making a big play.
Facing a second-and-16 and throwing out of his own endzone, Oklahoma State quarterback Maealiuaki Smith dropped back and fired a pass toward the right sideline. Instead of finding a Cowboys receiver, the ball landed in the hands of DJ McKinney, who transferred from Oklahoma State to Colorado this past offseason. McKinney sprinted up the field and dodged one tackler, turning the interception into a pick-6 with relative ease.
And then McKinney placed the ball on the ground, got on all fours, cocked one leg in the air, and imitated a dog peeing on a fire hydrant.
Expectedly, a referee threw a flag.

This should remind college football fans of the 2019 Egg Bowl and Ole Miss wideout Elijah Moore. However, this time, the ensuing penalty didn’t seem to have an impact on the outcome of the game. The Buffaloes led by seven possessions with about seven minutes left to play.
For McKinney, the interception was his second of the season and the first touchdown of his collegiate career.
