Colorado’s early season success has clearly captured the hearts of the student body.

The No. 18 Buffaloes will host in-state rival Colorado State in Week 3 against the pregame backdrop of ESPN’s College GameDay and FOX Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff.

This will be GameDay’s first trip to Colorado since 1996.

On Wednesday morning, a video from 247Sports showed an outrageously long line of Colorado students camped out for tickets to the game.

The hype around Colorado is palpable.

Colorado’s Week 2 victory vs. rival Nebraska, the first home contest for new head coach Deion Sanders, featured a crowd of 53,241 people. That made it the program’s most attended game in 15 years.

FOX Sports confirmed the Week 2 matchup between Colorado and Nebraska was viewed by an audience of 8.73 million people. That counts as the most-watched Pac-12 contest ever on FOX, as well ranking No. 10 all time for a regular season game on the channel.

Colorado State is 0-1 with a 50-24 loss to Washington State. Colorado leads the all-time series 67-22-2 against Colorado State, with a 5-game winning streak against the Rams.

Colorado vs. Colorado State is slated for a 10 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on ESPN.
