Deion Sanders appears to be running out of answers. A week after struggling to get by an FCS opponent, Colorado went on the road to face Nebraska and got thoroughly blown off the field in the first half.

Colorado gave up 6.3 yards per play, averaged 3.5 yards per play, threw a pick-6, and went into the half trailing 28-0. Memorial Stadium in Lincoln was rocking right from the opening kick and that had CU rattled. The Buffs committed 7 penalties for 80 yards and struggled to contain an active Nebraska front 7.

Facing a massive halftime deficit, the attention shifted squarely to Sanders.

Colorado lost 8 of its final 9 games a year ago. The Buffs beat North Dakota State by 5 last Saturday at home to snap what was a 6-game losing streak. After drastically flipping the roster in his first season, Sanders once again used the portal to remake his second Colorado roster.

Problems from 2023 still look like problems in 2024. The Buffs are struggling to protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was sacked 4 times in the first half. The Buffs are struggling to defend the pass. And Coach Prime is getting lit up on social media over all of it.
