Deion Sanders hammered on social media as Colorado struggles at Nebraska
Deion Sanders appears to be running out of answers. A week after struggling to get by an FCS opponent, Colorado went on the road to face Nebraska and got thoroughly blown off the field in the first half.
Colorado gave up 6.3 yards per play, averaged 3.5 yards per play, threw a pick-6, and went into the half trailing 28-0. Memorial Stadium in Lincoln was rocking right from the opening kick and that had CU rattled. The Buffs committed 7 penalties for 80 yards and struggled to contain an active Nebraska front 7.
Facing a massive halftime deficit, the attention shifted squarely to Sanders.
Colorado lost 8 of its final 9 games a year ago. The Buffs beat North Dakota State by 5 last Saturday at home to snap what was a 6-game losing streak. After drastically flipping the roster in his first season, Sanders once again used the portal to remake his second Colorado roster.
Problems from 2023 still look like problems in 2024. The Buffs are struggling to protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was sacked 4 times in the first half. The Buffs are struggling to defend the pass. And Coach Prime is getting lit up on social media over all of it.
Remember his comment about bringing his own luggage?

Here’s some of the rest of the reaction to the first half:
I’m out on Deion. Talk the talk? You better walk the walk. And his teams don’t.

If Colorado gets boat raced here, we can all agree the fault lies with the media for not supporting Coach Prime more…

Coach Prime just let 10 seconds run off the clock before calling timeout. Are we ready to acknowledge he sucks at coaching football? Can’t handle criticism. Nepotism. Colorado deserves what they’re getting.

any NFL fan more than 9 years old could have told Deion that voluntarily allowing Pat Shurmur call plays for your son the year before he enters the NFL draft is an incredibly dumb idea

if nothing else, Deion Sanders' run at Colorado has taught a lot of the more casual football fans that fixing a bad offensive line is hard as shit — and you shouldn't ever let your OL get bad

There are going to be a bunch of college football media members barred from asking Deion Sanders questions this week.

I really hope Deion Sanders has learned his lesson…

Deion Sanders has done some AMAZING things for Colorado — building a good football team isn’t one of them.

At some point, Deion Sanders ability to coach needs to be questioned

Coach Prime is a creation of the media. He isn’t much of a coach, but he an expert at taking all the attention the media has given him and turning that into multiple money making opportunities making commercials staring Primetime the ex NFL player.
Well…it was Nebraska’s Superbowl.
Unfortunately for Deion, arrogance is no substitute for hard work or coaching ability. Love watching that clown get his ass handed to him.
Couldn’t agree more…
Where is O’gara from SDS at? The one singing the praises of Deion and how he should have been considered for the Bama job? Step up d-bag! O’Gara promoting someone who had ZERO credentials for the job, other than he recruited his sons to play for him and one 5* that won him games in the SWAC. Not D1A, not even D1AA, but SWAC. For all of 2 years!! Typical L I B E R A L mess promoting people that NEVER earned it. Much like O’gara! I can only hope that both their careers end after this year because they are both a joke.
