Down 55, Monmouth player dunks on Kansas, earning technical and enraging announcer

The Kansas Jayhawks are one of the best teams in the country. Monmouth, on the other hand, is not.
Therefore, it was no surprise to see the Jayhawks holding a 55-point lead in the closing seconds of Friday’s game in Lawrence. However, what happened next was indeed surprising.
As you can see below, a Monmouth player steals the ball from a Kansas player trying to dribble out the clock and then throws down a slam at the other end of the floor:

He was assessed a technical foul for jawing with Kansas players after the dunk, leading to a 112-57 final score.
Also, the announcer was quite upset. We, on the other hand, always think it’s a good idea to dunk on Kansas.
