Former NC State football player Joseph Boletepeli was arrested this week and charged with misdemeanor stalking and communicating threats to Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren, per a report from ESPN’s David M. Hale according to Wake County records.

The arrest happened in Raleigh, North Carolina after a threatening tweet was reportedly sent by the 22-year-old Boletepeli that read, “Imma get him I promise. Dave Doeren and the rest.”

He was also charged with resisting arrest, as investigators said that he pulled away from officers who awere attempting to place handcuffs on him. This wasn’t limited to a simple tweet according reports from WRAL as investigators said Boletepeli had sent a number of threatening text messages to Doeren and other staff members.

The reports also indicate that he was spotted multiple times near Doeren’s workplace. According to WRAL, Boletepeli was released on Friday with an ankle monitoring system.
