FSU picked up a big commitment on Sunday afternoon, landing in-state 2023 OL Roderick Kearney, a 4-star prospect.

That’s a big win on the recruiting trails in the Sunshine State for coach Mike Norvell, but it was made even better by the timing of it.

Per reports, Kearney committed to FSU only minutes after leaving an official visit at Florida with coach Billy Napier:

Obviously, the timing of Kearney’s commitment isn’t a great look for the Gators. This will add a little fuel to the rivalry, which didn’t need much fuel to begin with!

Kearney is the No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2023 and the No. 27 overall recruit from the state of Florida, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
