Gus Johnson and Coach Prime are 2 of the most energetic personalities in college football, and the 2 came together for an unforgettable moment as Colorado stunned the country and upset No. 17 TCU on Saturday.

The Buffaloes — who came into the matchup as 3 touchdown underdogs with just 3 players from last year’s team — put together an incredible performance to stun the Horned Frogs 45-42 on the road in the season opener.

“Sanders takes a knee,” Johnson exclaimed. “And how about this, Prime Time Deion, wins his first one on the road against a team that played in the national championship a year ago. 45-42, Colorado!”

Johnson has had plenty of memorable calls and moments that have cemented him as one of the top broadcasters in all of sports, but this will be played over and over again for many years to come.

Colorado leaned on Coach Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, the team’s starting quarterback, who put together a prolific performance finishing the game 38-of-47 for an eye-popping 510 yards and 4 touchdowns. Four different Buffalo pass-catchers surpassed 100-yards receiving.

Four-star freshman running back Dylan Edwards only had 6 carries for 24 yards and a touchdown as a runner, but led the team as the top receiver with 5 catches for 135 yards and three additional scores.

Coach Prime and Colorado made a statement to the rest of the college football word on Saturday and Johnson was the perfect man to capture the moment on the FOX broadcast.
