Gus Malzahn leaves Cincinnati game on private jet due to family emergency
Gus Malzahn and the UCF Knights were trounced 56-21 by No. 3 Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon.
However, all of that quickly took a backseat for Malzahn and the UCF family as a family emergency was revealed.
Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell said at the end of his press conference that Malzahn had to leave after the game on a private jet to go care for his daughter:
Luke Fickell ends presser asking for prayers for UCF coach Gus Malzahn who had to leave on private jet to care for his daughter.

There’s no word yet on what exactly the situation is, but the fact Malzahn left on a private jet means it is certainly serious.
Hopefully, everything ends up being OK for the Malzahn family. This is a sort of situation that quickly puts football in perspective.
UPDATE: The Orlando Sentinel updated the situation regarding Malzahn’s daughter.
