Several quarterbacks are higher on the NFL Draft board than Jalen Hurts; however, the former Sooners and Tide signal caller helped himself with Thursday’s performance at the NFL Combine.

Of all the quarterbacks, Hurts ran the fastest 40-time at 4.59. That’s not blazing, but it’s plenty fast to play a role in 2020, especially at 222 pounds.

Hurts also looked really sharp in passing drills. Yeah, we get it — all quarterbacks look good against air, but Hurts’ passes were on time and accurate. He also threw a very nice deep ball during drills.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah knows the areas where Hurts needs to improve, but he doesn’t see him falling out of the second round.
