Jared Casey is getting some mileage out of his name, image and likeness deal with Applebees. The Kansas player has even taken to making his pitch from the sidelines, and did it on Saturday following a touchdown catch.

The Jayhawks fell to West Virginia, 34-28, on Saturday, but Casey didn’t let that stop him from selling Applesbees’ 2 for $22 deal.

Casey burst on the advertising scene a couple weeks ago after Kansas won at Texas.

Casey, a walk-on tight end for the Jayhawks caught a game-winning two-point conversion in the Jayhawks’ 57-56 overtime victory over Texas. Later that week, the restaurant released an ad filmed in Lawrence on Tuesday featuring Casey.

Casey ends the commercial with a reference to his game-winning play against Texas. “Hey, you always gotta go for 2,” Casey says, before winking at the camera.
