Media reacts to UCF losing to 2-7 Tulsa
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
The UCF Knights fell to 7-3 Friday night following a loss to 2-7 Tulsa. Seriously. The Golden Hurricane came marching back from a 28-17 halftime deficit to shutting out the Knights in the fourth quarter to secure the 34-31 win.
After Tulsa inserted backup quarterback Seth Boomer — yes, a quarterback from Oklahoma named Boomer, it was all Golden Hurricane. Boomer finished 6-of-10 for 87 yards and one touchdown.
UCF stopped Tulsa on a fourth down play with just over one minute left to get the ball back; however, the Knights had 12 men on the field. What a brutal way to lose.

UCF also coughed up three turnovers and committed a whopping 15 penalties for 120 yards.
“Dad, does UCF still want Bama? They’re trash.” My nine year old Bama fan son, auditioning for his future as a @finebaum caller.

After trailing 28-17 at half, Tulsa upsets UCF 34-31 after putting in back up QB Seth Boomer. In hindsight, it might be obvious that to win a game in Oklahoma, Tulsa should have put in Boomer, sooner.
