Media roasts FSU for brutal start against Jacksonville State
Florida State opened the 2020 season with two consecutive losses. Still, there weren’t many people likely picking the Seminoles to lose at home against Jacksonville State, an FCS school, on Saturday.
Yet, Florida State was struggling early. The Gamecocks had a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, and they were clearly putting the Seminoles on upset alert.
Nothing was going right for Florida State early, as its first drive resulted in a Jacksonville State interception return touchdown and its second ended with a missed field goal.
Here’s how the media was reacting to this early potential upset in the making:

Jacksonville State is a very good FCS team with a dynamic offense. Florida State is a not very good ACC team, with a porous offensive line and no quarterback. https://t.co/NRBqDxgiVh

Mid90s Oklahoma had some dark years. Nebraska has obviously had some dark years. Can even throw Michigan in that mix.
I don't think anyone has reached Florida State level of once a proud program now dead.
