The Penn State Nittany Lions are hosting a tough Michigan team on Saturday afternoon in State College.

James Franklin’s squad is already pulling out all the stops, having attempted 2 fake field goals already in the first quarter.

As you can see below, though, the second attempt at a fake ended in utter disaster, with the kicker fumbling the ball and Michigan recovering:

At that spot on the field, if you want to go for the end zone, it probably makes more sense to just keep your offense on the field.

That fake field goal should probably be removed from the playbook moving forward. We’ll see if it comes back to haunt the Nittany Lions in their quest for an upset.
